i never understood it either. it's just misleading customers that you're still open. plus as an astronomer, this cheer me up... less light pollution

10% of the reason is for energy saving, 90% to show off in a tiktok video

Let's be real here: The LED lights consume a lot less in one night than the Smartphones they're using to record that in the 30-seconds video. At best their action is, consequently, energy neutral, but they've probably consumed a lot more.

LED lights use very very little energy.

Wow those 50 6w lamps wil really help

If you want to increase rape this is a good way. Imagine civilization emerging from the darkness, cold, heat and hunger to breed a generation that hypocritically rejects the advancements of society built on the backs of intellectual giants. Good job on TikTok though.

Never understood why those switches aren't installed inside when these shops are being fitted out and made to be at normal human height so you can switch them on when you get in and off when you leave.
13/10/22
During night there is surpluss of energy anyway. Specially in France with many nuclear power plants that run always on 100% capacity
13/10/22
You do realize there is no shortage of electricity during the night?
13/10/22
honestly useless light at night that basicly are just polution should be illegal. your shop is closed, they shouldn't be lights on. (i am owner of a shop btw, i know it can help showing your goods but still)
13/10/22
Wouahhh it's gonna solve the energy crisis indeed.. youngster can be so dumb.. go switch off the light of the french elysée where macron and his cabal lives overconsuming energy like a whole country
13/10/22
That's a great, great initiative! The shops will be much easier to be robbed now! Good job, activists!
13/10/22
They have city rule against leaving these on during night if the store is not open as its a huge light pollutant ruining peoples sleep, its not only about energy
13/10/22
Idk but i dont like someone turned my light off. Even if its good for whateverr it is. Its basically breaking my privacy and property.
13/10/22
Yeah, take that Putin. Back to the 1800s baby
13/10/22
Why the fuck switches are outside?
13/10/22
I would use a long-ish stick but hey I might be just lazy
