Screen resolutions are a scam. Whenever 720p came out, it was considered HD, and it looked amazing. Now it's a pixelfest.

I am shocked that DVD videos had 480p or 576p resolutions. For me these were super realistic back then :D

Resolution isn't everything. It looks like YT changed codecs and compression. Sometimes watching old videos weird horizontal stripes appear. Preferable when there's more moving. They were not there when the videos were newer. To the ones thinking it's resolution only: If I make the video smaler while keeping the highest resolution to get higher ppi it still looks kinda shit.

Compression. Just because its 720 it can be shit. I have star trek series voyager in 720p looks much better then the latest spiderman in 720p because the version i downloaded had a very shitty compression and the files size was something like 1.1 gig instead of the 2.3.
