You’re not wrong. All men want is enormous battles with epic theme music. How hard is that for Hollywood to understand?

Still remember when we first saw those big things(oliphant?) and when the fighting started against them and the music just stopped at the first swing of the tusks into the rohan soldiers, that gave me chils in the cinema

I prefer the Battle of Helm's Deep

Also keep in mind that all three movies where made on a budget of only $281 million

None? Are you sure?

Battle in the last samurai wasn’t bad at all
17/09/22
Kingdom of Heaven, anyone?

Battle of Helm's Deep surpased The battle of pelennor fields before it took place
17/09/22
Dont forget this battle.

I kinda like a little bit more the helms deep battle but I gotta admit that every time I see this scene it give chills.

And in 20 more years itll be the same. You cant get any better than tolkeins work for fantasy and detail.....unless we get a warhammer40k movie with the same budget and props guys...that would be insane

Eowyn taking out an olyphaunt by cutting its leg?, "I'm no man", Green ghosty dudes swarming the battlefield and killing all the evil dudes in a matter of seconds?

I don't care if I get downvoted, I enjoyed this as much, even if they're not quite comparable
17/09/22
I'm more into history as opposed to fantasy, but personally, I really enjoyed the battles in Kingdom of Heavens and Alexander. Especially the latter has very well researched battle scenes (although, mysteriously, the final battle on the Hydaspes river... Has no river in it.)

Should have go back 30 years instead of forward 20 if you want a battle that surpasses it.
