Well this behaviour is how i lost 2 cats to my german sheperd... (live on a farm, everything bigger eats everything smaller over here if your not careful)
Now a bunch of people may think that this is some super friendly dog to cats, but nope, any other cat he will absolutely tear to shreds on site, it's just that this happens to be his cat, that grew up around him and that his owner brought to him so he knows not to mess with it.
