First of all, Russia is INVADING here with that material? I understand if you would crack open every armory and museums in the country when you are defending what is yours with all you got, but this film is from the invading side? Second, knowing Russian maintenance skills and the motivation to take care of.... - Anything really? Those things are actually dangerous to use for the crew that gets assigned to use it, I see that some of them have not had paint to protect it for a long time and most likely these are from some scrapyard/ broken down leaky warehouse or from a museum exhibition (If they are lucky). Soon, T-34s then T-28s, Mosing Nagants are on the field already and some uniforms from the 1930s are being commissioned again. Come next spring and they will be back to WWI levels? Oh wait, they actually have that one repair ship already in action from that time period, it was the one that showed up on sunken Moscow warships carcass.

I can imagine the Ukrainian military field radios/ Intercoms going summer 2023. "We got T-26 closing in from the north, take it out please." "Russian cavalry with spears are trying to flank us from the east, can I get some artillery support there? Thnx" "AIR DANGER ALERT, We got two Sikorsky S-16s coming to our way and.... What the hell is that? Some sort of a balloon? Zeppelin maybe? Anyway, need some support here, air defense can probably handle this..." "Some guys are surrendering again from the Russian side, do not fire, I repeat do not fire." "Sails sighted near Khersson, most likely a Man O War again, we got the two previous ones already but there is still a third..."

The Russian army has a similar budget and arsenal as an Hollywood movie set about WW2. Soon, it’ll be WW1

NATO vs WW2 museum. This war looks like more and more to broken Civ game.

Low altitude most effective between 360-1500 meters, can be used indirect fire artillery, range then is 6.1 km.

The next wave will be this:

Gees. Those were old when the US invaded Iraq, the first time.

This is turning into a ridiculous Civ6 game where you attack Musketmen with drone guided artillery.

Russia is playing this game only backwards

All things considered, these could be devastating in a prepared defensive/Ambush roles. Against light vehicles and IFVs the aphe shell has enough penetration to get through most light armor. While they could save what SAMs they have for jets, and take down helicopters with these (if the crews can get the ranging, and if the gun is in practical range). I can think of only two reasons why they're pulling these into active service. Could be one or both, but: 1) They've burnt through the vast majority of their high end equipment, and Russia is now pulling what they can, where they can into service, because they literally have no choice left. 2) They intend to use these and other old stockpiles in captured regions and crew them with the conscripts in an attempt to hold the line, and pool the experienced soldiers into a spearhead to slow/stop the current Ukrainian momentum. Either way, this continues to signal the desperate position the Russians are in.
