I think this is a testament to spending the extra money of clothing. If you buy something nice and not something that is a fad you will be able to wear it for years. Spend a little extra to get a nicer quality.

terry Pratchett´s thoughts on why the rich stay rich: “[Vimes] earned 38 dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost 50 dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about 10 dollars… A man who could afford 50 dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in 10 years’ time, while the poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent 100 dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet.”

It's a known fact that King Charles has the habit to repair/mend his clothes instead of buying new ones.

Its a tweed Anderson and Sheppard (a Saville row bespoke maker). He also has a camel colored one from Anderson and Sheppard. They are the only two overcoats he's worn over 40 years.

I'll write something sad... "I wear it because my mommy bought it for me..."

That’s what money buys you, shit that lasts forever. Poor people shoes and what not.

I like that to be honest. What's wrong with using clothing for years as long as it is good?

Stop buying polyester "winter" clothes and buy a quality coat
