People might suggest their own team now, but that’s obviously bullshit.
Watch some games in various competitions if you can and see what you enjoy the most. Seeing the best of the best? Go for some elite team. Seeing the underdog succeed? Go for some hopefull but not quite elite team. Hell there might even be some fun in rooting for a shit team.
Europe is the best continent in general followed by south america. The champions league is the best competition imo. You’ll see the best players there.
Being able to choose your team like this is nice, but also kind of unusual atleast in europe. Most people are born into their club by inheriting it from their father.
There are country wise leagues( try following a leagues in europe) and a continental cups( Europe is one of the best).
Look at england, spain, italy and germany and try to find a team that you feel has a similiar vibe to you. And then passionately follow it for the rest of your life. If you want country wise good team let me know.
I follow chelsea
Pro tip - watch football without following any team. Then follow league tables and match scores. Look for well performing teams and follow them. If the team starts underperforming, don't hesitate to change your team. That way you will be happier in your life. Be a follower, don't be a fan. Many people will tell you otherwise and would advise you to be loyal to a team. But you don't owe any loyalty neither do the players playing in the team, so feel free to unfollow any team you dislike.
