My HR boss said people don't want more money, they want more responsibility and career prospects. Nope, I just want the money, thanks. I don't pay my bills with more responsibility.
I work two jobs and barely scrape by each month to pay all of my bills. I can kiss any vacations or stuff I want or need goodbye until I find a new job that pays more. How am I repayed for my efforts? Fucking popcorn. A single bag of popcorn.
My previous boss said to me that he disliked that I pack up my stuff at the moment my work day is over, he expected me to finish my work and then pack up for the day.
I fucking hate that 'work comes before anything else' mentality, just let me work my hours and leave me alone. I am glad I am away from there
This is literally happening in my company. At the beginning of 2022 they proudly announced we achieved huge growth and $6 billion NET Profits.
Then in that same meeting they announced absolutely zero salary increases. And simply stated "we aren't to blame for inflation".
9 months later 30% of my department has left (about 15 people) and remain unreplaces. And the rest of us have basically quiet quit, because our work loads have massively increased. And management are shitting themselves.
Also, we didn't even get fucking pizza or ping pong lol.
The stupid thing is no one is quitting g their job. Some moron decided that not working longer and doing extra is quiet quitting. In other words why are you all not working for free for and hour or two everyday.
Love that Media is trying to redefine quiet quitting as doing your job, as if the employee is at fault for being lazy. My inner rebel is so, so tempted.
The funny thing is: give the employees more money? They will complain about Work-Life-Balance. Give them a better work-life-balance / a nicer, was stressful workplace? They will complain about wanting more money.
Actually, this has gotten so "bad" that I personally know of a lot of companies that offer incredible salaries and still have trouble finding good candidates because the work-life-balance is bad.
Now, I would never work unpaid overtime. But you can't have it all.
You want more money? Contribute more.
You have contribute more but employer didn't gave a raise? Look for a new employer.
You have been looking for a better position but those interviews didn't result in job offer? You've over estimated yourself.
Congrats!! At least now you know, you've never been underpaid. You're just a whiner.
Go to facebook and twitter for sympathy from same social class as you.
I got an OK salary but last company wide meeting they announced we are getting a payraise for inflation and if we don't go into lockdown again this winter we will get another payraise in januari.
I think that's pretty nice of them
