Does anyone with actual experience with 3D printers in real life know if this can be done? I'm legitimately curious as I'm thinking about buying a 3D printer.
Oh, and this is still a good idea if he would've bought the plastic rolls from a store to make those boxes anyway.
So we have a 3d printer at my house that we rarely use, but I'm curious what the process would be if you wanted to use something like those 2L bottles as material.
Is it as straightforward as stripping it into a single thread and (probably) melting some end pieces together to make a continuous thread?
I mean it seems like there's no way it'd be that simple
