Always one or two doing all the work for the dead weight. It is one way to observe a group and learn which ones are the leaders, the followers, and the do nothing "supervisors."

They say group projects are there to prepare you for real life. Except at work you are assigned a valid task and the rest of your coworkers are not (completely) stupid. If work was like school projects you will have one person investigating what is software, the other person writing a paper with the information the first one provided. And the last person writing a program BEFORE the first 2 even started. And all of them get paid the same You may joke that's what a project manager does, writing specifications that you don't need. But there are other tasks those people are doing. And tou are doing something else while the project manager does his "paper".
