This is shit.
That being said, this all makes me wonder. In the US, Latin-Americans are considered a minority, a minority that somehow needs protection, like here their language, cultural heritage, including against stereotypes and such (for instance that whole Speedy Gonzalez nonsense).
But really, if we take for instance Mexicans, how are they any different than US Americans? I mean in terms of violent history, oppression of minorities, killing and mistreating the natives, being a powerful country willing to war and kill, etc.
It's basically the same but in Spanish. At least up until the early 20th century.
So, I wonder. Just because they became different countries and one successed more than the others (in terms of economic, world hegemony and such) Latin-Americans, and especially Mexicans, just feel not really different from white North-Americans.

Oh, because the amount of melanin one produces define the languages one can speak.
Someone forgot to explain this detail to all whites in Latin America, living their Spanish lives normally and happily.
