Ah yes, Splinter Cell. It was the 2nd or 3rd game that tried to tell me which 3rd party software I was or wasn't allowed to use on my system. A regularly bought copy wouldn't start because it determined that Alcohol 120% was a big no-no. So I returned the game for a refund, because it was defective, obviously. Have avoided Ubisoft games ever since.
Like it or not, at least they tried to do something new with AC. That's more than a lot of other publishers dared to do. If the announcements are anything to go by, we'll be getting both the old and the new style of games in the future.
