This is not a surprise to anyone. Russia has never in its history cared for any of its own wounded during war or after any war. It is not in their culture that promotes the idea of leaving own wounded behind as a normal protocol. Logistics are non existent for food or ammo and precious space on returning cargo wont be used to evacuate those who have wounded so badly that there is no way of returning them to active service. Also, there needs to be space for officers and other better people with their luges to evacuate the area before Ukrainians come and take it back. Russian basic conscripts/ military low level men are garbage and numbers on paper, nothing of value except in greater numbers. Russian peasants that Russia has plenty for its elite to consume and use as they please. Actually, being a POW in Ukraine is a better option for them than staying in the Russian military system waiting to get killed.

In Russian culture the worst part is the people. No one trusts anyone and there are no real friendships or caring for anyone or anything. That is why they leave their own wounded always behind to scream. They dont care about anything or anyone except themselves to absurd levels. They are unable to feel compassion or other normal emotions. Value of a human being in a Russian world and in a Russian culture is less than what we Western people grant to our pets and other animals.

the way I see it Russia doesn't even see the advantage of spending money on treating their wounded soldiers they'd rather push fresh meat into the grinder than caring for the injured undeployable veterans honestly nothing surprising from fascist leaders

Now that headline says 50% of heavily wounded. I guess 12% would be for all, even minor injuries?

It's not 90k dead. It's 90k casualties. Casualties include anyone not able to return to service in a timely manner as well as captured, surrendered and missing soldiers. So for a modern army 90k casualties would mean 10-20k dead and the rest seriously wounded/captured/missing. For Russia, I assule the deaths are higher, but it's not as high as 90k. If their deathtoll was as high as 90k, that would mean they'd have another 100-300k wounded/captured/missing and that doesnt track

I'll say it again : the 90,000 casualties is a low number from what we are seeing on the field since the beginning of the war. I'm thinking its closer t0 120,000+ casualties.

Isn't 90.000 out of commission? Dead plus wounded, that can't go back to the front lines
