I remember that time they sold a 1967 Ford Mustang that was all electric, all modern technology. I really can't say if it was a good engine and technology, but the concept of a classic with modern technology just fascinated me, and curiously it happens to be my favorite car ever.
the outside is technology;
- aerodynamics is technology;
- dynamics of impact resistance and impact reaction are technology;
- tyres are technology;
- glasses are technology;
- and even just aesthetics is technology (cognitive technology, cultural technology, but still all the way down ... technology).
I cannot remember the name of the company, but they make 911s and E-type Jags with modern breaks, engines, and chassis. The only thing that's really old is the styling. (i saw it on Top gear years ago I believe)
The price of the cars were insane though, we are talking new Ferrari + money.
You cannot have modern technology with nostalgia optics., because the visual design is part of the technology, especially when it comes to integrity and crash safety.
Funny when i was younger and still worked as a car mechanic i always wanted to found a company building 1930s style cars with modern technology (i mean i also wanted to start with rather small fun ones with one seat only (in the same style) because morgan (image below) basically does the usual ones in the luxury segment...
If i win the lottery one day that might still happen...
In means of aerodynamics, the car down below will frustrate you and you would feel it if it had modern speed capabilities. That car would shake like hell in higher speeds and wouldn’t be so comfortable around the edges
So a modern car with retro aesthetics
You are basically asking for a modern car m'dude, moden technology has certain aesthetics because it's part of better ergonomics and aerodynamics.
I recognize cars are among the worst things that mankind has created because they turn a non-renewable resource into planet-threatening pollution, contributing to the greenhouse effect and leading to an entirely new way to die: getting hit by a car, or crashing yourself
But damn if that isn't a sweet set of wheels
