The worst of all is State science. Conclusions are enforced by law, censorship, threats, shaming and shutting down businesses. All paid by corporations.
Peer review is fine. Criticism is also fine. They will also change if you can prove them wrong.
BUT
It's not valid criticism if you disagre with them based on some youtube video you found. Also googling your opinion and scouring the internet until you find that one obscure article that agrees with you is not considered "doing research".
"invites criticism", "takes account of all new discoveries". This was done. But when a point criticism is tried, tested and shown to be baseless, and incompetents on the internet bring up that very same point up again and again and again, you can't expect to give you a new bag of attention each time.
Yes, public discourse was simplified, it always is. But you have to put up some effort in your critique. Everyone can claim to be smarter than everyone else, that doesn't give you the right to expect your musings to be treated on par with repeated double blind studies.
