Stuff like this takes time to heal. In went of the road in 80 km/h 2 years ago and fucked my back up. Couldn't lift 10 kg without having a kniven in my back for 1.5 year! Most important: move around alot. Exercise with younown body weight or light weight because that way you can't fuck your back up more. When you're ready load some more weights on.

I work in spine care, yoga is your best bet. Call chiropractors in your area and ask if they have "non-surgical decompression," that's a therapy that requires maintenance but gets greta results. No lifting. You need an x-ray to see if it's a pars fracture before you lift.

What do you need height for? I’m 5’5 and can do most of those lifts. I’d seek real advice. I’ve heard doing the motion with low weight and proper form helps but man I’m no doctor or physiologist

Same issue, just for years, and in lower and upper back (thx damn sport) i cant recommend as its a medical question but can tell what worked for me...first of all the sad news, if its a irreversible damage then the only solution is to strenghten whole back or at least the area ☼︎yoga (which was always a girly thing to me) daylie exercises ☼︎my favorit became rowing, but took me nearly 6 months till go "full" ☼︎workout with thera bands, enables nice smooth movements, idk if its same in english ☼︎swimming (ok didnt worked for me, too boring lol)

Medical issues should be managed with a medical professional. Once your medical issue is over get into fundamental strength training start light slowly work up to heavier weights over longer periods (8 weeks is a good timeframe for physiological adaptation to occur). Squats, overhead pressing, deadlifts, pull ups will be a great foundation to build any training around, when you are cleared to start training. Look up starting strength, or even barbell medicine for good references. Again, medical issues need to be treated first before you get back into other things, however, you should remember pain is a psychosocial phenomenon.
