Hey buddy, I went through the same deal. I had to bounce around to many places for work, so it took time to adjust. First and foremost, find a place you feel comfortable in. It could be a restaurant, a shop, a pub, whatever you like hanging around. Frequent the place, get to know the people who work there, meet the regulars. This is a simple way to put down roots in a new spot. From there, you start venturing out, finding more places, meeting more people and finding new things. First time I moved was to NYC, I ended up going to the same deli 3 times a week and meeting the locals. Made a lot of great friends and felt better.
I had the same experience, ended up moving back after a couple years but all the relationships that I had were gone so it didn't make a difference. Best bet is to make new friends where ever you are.
You watch tv and drink a few beers and eventually you’ll get used to it. I didn’t like keeping things from home around because it just made me miss it.
Do guys get home sick?
Oh wait, i didn't had really one, so i dont know i can help you and waste your time reading this. Sorry.
Oh wait, had it one time when i removed me from foster care. Hehe
Thanks again for reading and sorry again for wasting your time.
Try make it more comfy? Get a pet? Keep in touch with you "old" home.
Go to the gym. spend 3 hours every day there, buff up. Once you feel you are all strong and buffed, you go and break something. That will give you dopamine.
Maybe consider moving back..? There are other jobs and you only get one life so not worth wasting on filthy lucre..
I am too living in my current town bc of work and is bored as hell recently. I realized I should start planning a way to move back before I spent the rest of my life here. Make some money but think of it as temporary.
