If you want a culture that involves mixed races, don't do it in fantasy settings where it would make absolutely no sense to do so. Have cities that are trading hubs if you want to have multiple races. Don't act as if a place that is clearly meant to be a fantasy version of Europe as having black leaders for some reason.
Contractually stipulate that actors and actresses do NOT try to be political regarding their role, or even mention "representation". Have all interviews curated for probing questions regarding politics or race/representation because they ALWAYS seek to make discourse.
Stop thinking that "female empowerment" is done by making the female character unlikable. rude or overpowered without flaws or weaknesses. Stop trying to portray all white people as the "manipulators" of the poor , black disenfranchised thugs or criminals.
Make good movies and series again. Have fun. Make it as the escapeism that it is meant to be. To disconnect from the harsh reality of the world.
Funny enough theirs a whole big mythology/lore set in Africa that they can start making a lot of original content from but for some reason they keep avoiding it. (American gods barely touched on it but they didn't do anything good or original with it.)
Only if it were true …. Folks at hated shows before they were released just based on casting.
I do agree that demography should be played down and good story / acting should be the priority
Oh the bigots do hate diversity, they say it at every opportunity. Sometimes they try to disguise it as "hating forced diversity", but strangely it's forced everytime it's not a white straight dude and then they'll always say shit like Ripley and Sarah Connor to pretend they have an open mind XD
