Didn't see how this all started... honestly can't determine who the aggressor is... can we see the mountain lions go-pro footage please

I would have shat myself.

Assuming that's a 9mm that holds up to 15, he has 13, and he chose the right time to shoot. I might have even shot sooner just to scare it away.

tx for not killing today...both of you. Cool vid

Well if your just gonna throw lead out there and try to scare it maybe shot a little sooner If your trying to drop the Bastard first shot was well timed But way inaccurate should be using both hands and always double tap

usually, when this happens i aim at the ground 1m away in front of the wildcat, depending on the distance and firing angle. it usually throws a lot of dirt upwards, and buries the bullet on the ground to avoid ricochet. that is, if im using the non-lethal option.

Cougars are trying to get laid all over the world and you shoot at one? Dick move, bro
13/10/22
I’m not pretending I would be rational in this situation, but standing your ground is the better move right? At least that’s what scouts taught me. Him having a gun is icing on the cake, the noise is one thing, but even a 9mm would fuck up a mountain lion at least to the point you became not worth the effort Again, I’m not pretending to be a tough guy, just applying what I was taught

Stop backing up like prey for fucks sake
13/10/22
Going hiking requires handgun?
13/10/22
If i would be in this Situation i wouldnt grab my Phone... i would perform a warning shot and then two fast shots on the animal... with both hands and good aimed... without doing tiktokshit...
13/10/22
Last bullet is for yourself
13/10/22
just shoot in the air. not at the cat. wtf
13/10/22
So when it comes to survival, dude has decided to use one of his hand on camera instead of holding a gun with both of his hands for better accuracy? Genius.
13/10/22
His reaction time is amazingly fast. Exactly when the (idk, puma?) charges, he shoots
